Rockwall carries a three-game winning streak into Friday, Sept. 25, when the Yellowjackets travel to North Forney for a District 10-6A matchup at Better Life Stadium. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. in Forney, with the RISD Sports Network carrying the broadcast.

The Yellowjackets (3-1, 1-0) are coming off a 69-48 home rout of Mesquite Horn on Sept. 18 in which they piled up 669 total yards and scored 42 points before halftime. Quarterback Collins Jones threw for 306 yards and five touchdowns in that game. Running back Kaydon Castro rushed for 210 yards and three scores on 21 carries, and Alijha Deloache added 105 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.

Rockwall committed just one penalty for 10 yards and did not turn the ball over against Horn.

Through four games, Castro leads the Yellowjackets with 159.5 rushing yards per game, according to MaxPreps. Ryan Wiley averages 95.0 receiving yards per game after hauling in six catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns against Horn. On the defensive side, linebacker Bruin Shawver leads the team with 7.3 tackles per game, and defensive lineman Ryley Giese has three sacks. Senior defensive lineman Wade Day, a three-year varsity starter committed to West Point, anchors the front.

Head coach Trey Brooks' squad has won three of its first four games after going 4-6 last season.

North Forney (0-3, 0-1) entered the season as the Dallas Morning News' pick to win District 10-6A, but the Falcons are still searching for their first victory. They fell 50-43 in overtime to Prosper on Sept. 4, lost 34-29 to Lancaster on Sept. 11 and were blown out 49-13 at Longview in their district opener on Sept. 18, according to MaxPreps. The Falcons have scored 85 points and allowed 133 through three games.

North Forney went 10-2 last season and reached the area round of the state playoffs. The talent is there.

Rockwall's offense has been prolific, but the defense remains a question mark. A district preview published Sept. 13 noted the Yellowjackets "will need to be more consistent defensively facing district opponents." Rockwall allowed 56, 28 and 41 points in its first three games before giving up 48 to Horn.

The Yellowjackets are ranked No. 43 in Texas by MaxPreps and No. 19 in the VYPE DFW Top 20 for Week 5.

Rockwall's next game after the North Forney matchup is a home contest against Longview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium.
