More than 30 original paintings in shades of blue now line the walls of a co-working space in nearby Fate, each one priced at $100 with every dollar going to the Children's Advocacy Center for Rockwall County.

The "Go Blue" wall, a collaboration between the Rockwall Art League and the advocacy center, features 12-by-12-inch works created and donated by area artists. Blue is the color associated with child abuse prevention awareness, and the exhibit turns that symbolism into direct fundraising for a nonprofit that serves children and families across Rockwall County.

Every painting sold means $100 for the center.

The works are on display at The Hub at Fate Station, a co-working space on the third floor of Fate Place at 110 E. Greenhill Lane in downtown Fate. Visitors can view and purchase artwork Monday through Friday during regular business hours, with private appointments also available. The exhibit opened with a public reception on June 25 and runs through at least late August, according to the Rockwall Art League's program page, which notes artists may request unsold pieces back beginning Aug. 30.

Tammy Pennington, president of the Rockwall Art League, told the Rockwall County Herald-Banner in its July 30 coverage that the project grew from artists volunteering their time and talent. "The 'Go Blue' wall is a beautiful example of how art can bring people together, raise awareness and support children and families in our community," Pennington said.

Beyond the "Go Blue" wall, more than 60 additional pieces by Rockwall Art League artists hang throughout The Hub, giving visitors a broader look at the local art scene.

The Children's Advocacy Center for Rockwall County coordinates forensic interviews, victim advocacy, and counseling referrals for children affected by abuse, bringing together law enforcement, Child Protective Services, medical professionals, and prosecutors under one roof. The center also offers CAC 101, a free monthly virtual session on the second Tuesday of each month, for residents interested in learning about its mission or volunteering.
